The Israel-Palestine Conversation: Debate vs Dialogue

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Stuck in contentious arguments when talking about the Middle East in your classroom, synagogue, or community? We'll provide guidelines and methods for engaging in productive dialogue. Can we acknowledge each other’s perspectives without agreeing with them? How do we teach our students the difference between needing to be right and having a constructive conversation? Between winning an argument and forging a relationship? Learn to engage others more effectively, and think more critically by understanding different attitudes and feelings about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Leave this workshop with listening and communication skills to add to your pedagogical toolkit. Designed for anyone seeking new tools to deal with old disagreements.
