Protest Signs at the Seder: Empowering Teens to Bring their Social Justice Agendas to the (Seder) Table

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

When they’re too old (or woke) for the 10 plague puppets, how do you create a meaningful seder experience for your teens and college-aged guests? Empower young people to create a social justice seder with symbols, rituals, and readings on issues that matter to them! This workshop offers you hands-on ideas and varied resources for engaging teens in planning and running a (home or community) seder that incorporates their concerns about climate change, LGBTQ rights, or racial justice. In every generation we must see ourselves as if we had gone out of Mitzrayim. What can that mean to this generation?
